The launcher: keeps the game up to date

Run it once: it puts itself in your data folder with a shortcut (the Start menu and the desktop on Windows, the applications menu on Linux); start Runecarver from there afterwards. Each time it brings itself and the game up to date, then starts the game. Windows may warn about an unknown publisher the first time: click "More info", then "Run anyway". Linux: unpack it and run ./runecarver-launcher.

Without the launcher, download it again from this page whenever the game says your copy is out of date.
